This surgical implant was laser cut holding tolerances ± .001.
This intricate pattern was cut to demonstrate the versatility of the laser.
From
small intricate parts to large parts, New Tech has the experience.
Holding exact tolerances is critical for both parts pictured. The piece
on the right is cut from 1/4" 3165 stainless steel stock. The piece on
the left is .014" wide and is one section of an armature.
Laser
cutting of this engineered plastic illustrates the precision cutting
upon which New Tech continues to build its reputation.
This piece could have been stamped, but the cost of tooling would have made this particular job cost prohibitive, especially in small quantities. Laser cutting provided the most economical answer.
